2014 Cross Lake Floatilla Set for This Weekend

"Love the Lake Life." That's the theme for the 2014 Cross Lake Floatilla, set for Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Boaters are asked to arrive at the Cross Lake Patrol headquarters between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to purchase Cross Lake boating stickers for $20 each. A valid sticker is needed for those who plan to launch vessels onto the lake.

The Shreveport Police Department's Cross Lake Patrol headquarters is at 2900 Municipal Pier Road. You're reminded that life jackets are required for each person on your boat. Officials with the Cross Lake Patrol, Wildlife and Fisheries, and the Caddo Sheriff's Office will be on-hand enforcing boating laws.

The Flotilla, now in its 23rd year, is a day-long event featuring music, food and fun on the water.
