On September 13, just before 10:30 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of East Dudley Drive in the Waterside neighborhood of east Shreveport. Arriving officers located a 21-year-old man in the driver’s seat of a blue Monte Carlo that had at least one gunshot injury to his face. Patrol officers immediately rendered aid to the victim until SFD arrived. SFD transported the victim to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, where the victim was pronounced deceased.

 Detectives with the Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene and launched their investigations. CSIU collected all evidence and Homicide detectives began canvassing the neighborhood. Detectives learned through interviews that there were possibly two black male suspects, one was driving a blue Chrysler 300, and the other was on foot. After firing shots at the victim, the man driving the Chrysler drove west bound down East Dudley Street, then jumped out of the car and fled on foot, the other suspect followed. Investigators were able to recover and seize the suspect’s vehicle.This is an ongoing investigation.

 The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office will release the decedent’s name at a later time.Detectives are asking anyone with any information on this homicide to call them immediately at  318-673-7300 #3 or 318-673-6955.
