Cleanup Continues at Shreveport Dog Park
On a nice Sunday afternoon it seemed like a good idea to take Tiger to the Dog Park, but I wasn’t sure if it would be accessible or not so I didn’t load him up just yet.
I’m glad I decided not to get him excited because there’s still a lot of work to be done. Most of the mud and silt has been cleaned up, but lots of work is happening around the boat launch so the park is completely closed. The gate to get in the park is locked.
Shelly Ragle with Spar says crews are continuing the cleanup at the Stoner boat launch site, Riverview Park, Hamel Memorial Park and Bickham Dixon Park. All of these facilities suffered damage during the recent flooding. The high water left a layer of mud and silt across all of the property along the riverfront and Spar crews have been working to get the clean up done.
