Tonight is the big night for Pumpkin Shine on Line. It's one of the most popular and one of the most beautiful things about fall in our community.

Last year we all struggled with the fact that it was basically canceled. Normally Pumpkin Shine on Line goes down at Betty Virginia Park however last year, due to COVID-19 restrictions it was held at Southfield School. There is so much that has changed this year so we want to make sure you know before you go to Pumpkin Shine on Line.

1. When should you get there?

The trails around Shreveport’s Betty Virginia Park will transform on October 19th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Instead of the traditional trails you are used to enjoying, get ready to see the glow of nearly 1,000 jack-o-lanterns and painted pumpkin displays.

2. How much does it cost?

Pumpkin Shine on Line is free. You don't have to pay a penny to enjoy all the magical pumpkins.

3. What is the parking situation like?

The best part is you can take a shuttle to get to the park. Just park at Mall St. Vincent (Dillard’s lot) and ride the free shuttle to the park entrance. The shuttle will run from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

4. Who's responsible for the spooky pumpkins?

A little bit of everyone in our community, local schools, churches, non-profit organizations, and businesses all jump into creating marvelous art pieces using pumpkins. There will be entertainment from school bands, choirs, and cheerleaders.

5. What if you show up hungry?

There will also be local food trucks available to make sure you have some delicious food as you walk through the glowing trails.
