Here in a couple of weeks, should you spot scores of people sporting bows and arrows, don't think we're about to have an early archery deer season here in the Bayou State.

Our area is about to host one of the largest archery tournaments ever held in Louisiana.

Thanks to the hard work of the Shreveport/Bossier Sports Commission and former Director Kelly Wells, we are set to host the 2022 ASA Easton/Hoyt Outdoor 3-D Archery Tournament!

Shreveport, Bossier City and Minden, Louisiana, have partnered with the National Guard at Camp Minden, Bossier Parish, Webster Parish and Caddo Parish, along with the City of Bossier City and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nunguesser and the Louisiana Office of Tourism, to host this incredible event.

The tournament, which is estimated to bring in around two thousand archers from forty nine states to compete and another fifteen hundred friends and family to the Shreveport/Bossier/Minden area from April 21 to April 24, 2022.

Civic leaders estimate this event to bring in millions of dollars for the economy over the coming months and years.
