What is it lately with restaurants obsession with Bacon?

Bacon burgers, strips of bacon, bacon bits are all normal. However, lately, we have seen chocolate covered bacon and fast food places introducing Bacon Sundaes. But just when you thought that would be the end of it, you would be wrong.

Enter, Squeeze Bacon.










So how did squeeze bacon come to be? From what it sounds like, it is has been in the works since World War II ended. A restaurant worker in Sweden, Vilhelm Lillefläsk, created this liquified bacon product. He created it by precooking the bacon and blending it  as a fully cooked 100% bacon paste that could be squeezed from a tube. According to www.thinkgeek.com," That, dear friends, is when Squeez Bacon® was born.  And this delicious delectable from Sweden has finally been brought over to the USA - now with American Flavor!"

It is supposedly real bacon with no additives or preservatives, but at $7.99 a bottle, this stuff had better taste like the real thing.

While I am no super-fan of bacon, this is so odd I think it would be fun to try it just once. Next time I go to IKEA, I will get a bottle and report back.
