Bama Week is officially off. The annual grudge match between LSU and Alabama, which was scheduled to take place Saturday in Baton Rouge, has been postposed due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the LSU Football program. This is the second time LSU has been impacted by COVID. Earlier this season, a game between Florida and LSU was postponed until December after an outbreak in the Florida program.

At this time, the verbiage is 'postponed' and not 'canceled'. Which is important, because the NCAA has outright canceled games due to COVID. Deliberately saying postponed indicates that game may be played at a later date. However, when that game would take place, is unknown since the Tigers are already playing the Gators during their last scheduled bye week in December and the SEC Championship game will take place December 19th.
