Beware Frauds In Wake Of Barry

Officials are reminding the public to watch out for scams in the wake of Barry.

There are people looking to prey on you or anyone who is facing recovery after the passage of tropical weather. After the tremendous loss of property and life during Katrina, the U.S. Department of Justice formed the National Center For Disaster Fraud. The purpose of the organization is to protect citizens from fraud during disaster relief periods and to ensure those who commit fraud are brought to justice.
