Big Construction Project Launching at Airline High School

It's a big day in the history of Airline High School, as General Contractors met in the library for a pre-bid conference. Heading up the meeting were project architects from Sutton Mithell Beebe & Babin Architects, LLC.

A massive reconstruction project has been in the planning stages for nearly three years. Bid dates were set today and the target for the official opening of bids will be February 24 at 2 p.m. If all goes well, groundbreaking will happen some time in March.

Two new 3-story wings will be constructed and major renovations done to the Administrative wing. The existing library will be reconstructed into an Academic/Media Center. The work is expected to be completed in 2018.
