Body of Missing South Carolina Girl Found

The body of 6 year old Faye Marie Swetlik has been recovered by police. Swelik mysteriously vanished from in front of her South Carolina home Monday. According to Fox News, area police are investigating the girl's death as a homicide.

“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we are announcing we have found the body, who the coroner has identified, as Faye Marie Swetlik,” Cayce Public Safety Director Byron Snellgrove said during a brief news conference Thursday afternoon.

At this time, Police are keeping details of the investigation quiet. At this time, no cause of death or details about where her body was found have been released. Snellgrove, however, did say that during their investigation the body of a male was also discovered. At this this time, there's no word on whether or not the man's death is related to Swetlik's disappearance and death.

The investigation into the girl's death and disappearance is fluid and on going.
