Nature lovers get some great news today. The multi-use trail that runs next to the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway in Bossier City will be extended further south. Construction is set to begin on this project that will run the trail from its current end at the Red River Wildlife Refuge south to Parkway High School.

Bossier Parish Administrator Bill Altimus says the Red River Waterway Commission is set to being construction on September 1. The Waterway Commission will be picking up the tab for the $1.3 million dollar southern extension of this hiking and biking trail. This will extend this nature trail for another 2.4 miles.
