At last night's Heisman Trophy presentation, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow set multiple records while bringing home the school's second ever Heisman. But it wasn't just winning the award in record breaking fashion that has caught the nation's attention. It was Burrow's emotional speech that had many talking.

A lot of focus has been put on Burrow's word to LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron, and deservedly so. As soon as Burrow started addressing Orgeron, emotions started flowing...not just in the room, but across the country.

One of the most interesting moments of Burrow's speech is how he started it. The first people he thanked, were is offensive lineman. From a football standpoint, this makes perfect sense, in the context of being on the stage for LSU's first Heisman in 60 years, interesting. But "that's Joe".

After thanking the line, Burrow easily transitioned into thanking Tight End Thad Moss, and then onto his "weapons on the outside". Of those "weapons" the first name out of his mouth was Terrace, as in Terrace Marshall Jr from Bossier City's Parkway High. Burrow then mentioned Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, who along with Marshall, all have over 500 yards and 10 touchdowns each.

It was a big night for Louisiana, and having a little Shreveport-Bossier love on the stage was nice to see.
