Shreveport City Attorney Mekisha Smith Creal is resigning from her post.

We have reached out to Mayor Adrian Perkins for comment and are awaiting a reply.

We also reached out to Creal for an interview and she just sent us this message:

"Thank you, but I need to focus on working towards a smooth transition. I appreciate your well wishes."
