I had a great time getting to know more about Bayou Bully Rescue while I was at the Adopt, Don't Shop event at Camp Bow Wow in Shreveport. Bayou Bully Rescue is located in West Monroe, Louisiana and they have some sweet babies they're helping to find new, loving homes.

I talked to Cinnamon Grant and Kathy Powell from the rescue and got the story on two young female Pit Bulls. The first I got to meet was Deja and she's really sweet. She came to the rescue from Desoto Parish and is ready for adoption. Deja is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped and Bayou Bully has her on 6 month Proheart shots for heartworm prevention.

The second young female we got to meet was Honey and when we videoed this, she had only been under the care of Bayou Bully for about a week. Honey came to the rescue from the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter, is already spayed and clearly handled her first public outing like a champ!

These are just two of the dogs that Bayou Bully have for adoption and they're always looking for help because they are funded 100% by donations. Not only are they looking for families to adopt their charges, they also need volunteers and families willing to foster. If you're willing to help in any capacity, I know they'd love to hear from you. Any inquiries or comments can be emailed to BayouBullyRescue@yahoo.com.
