Sure, this movie is nostalgic for me, but ever since we were 6-years-old, this has been me and my dear friend Rebekah's favorite Christmas movie and no matter where we're living each year during the holidays, we remind each other to watch it in good health! Just last night Becky sent me a video of she and her boyfriend watching the little known Christmas classic, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.

Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas was a Jim Henson creation that came out in 1977. It's a story about a poor otter family who risks it all during the Christmas season to win a talent competition. The movie is out of print, but I was able to find a copy on DVD a few years ago in town at a CVS for like $5. I promptly bought it for Rebekah. Maybe it's because it's 2020 and I'm all in my feelings but it feels like the story behind the movie is especially poignant this year. It definitely feels like one of the last movies out there with a real message!
