Yep, the crazy horse lady on the radio is back and ready for action this weekend at the Spring Holly Hill Horse Trials at Holly Hill Farm in Benton, LA.

Kappa Sweetheart aka Sweetie came into my life in late January and it's been a match made in heaven. Sweetie is a 17hh 2008 draft cross and I'm not going to lie, I'm absolutely in love! Since we brought her home, we've had her in training for the horse trials. While I'm still too chicken to jump anything, especially anything that doesn't fall down, it's in the plans and my friend Carlye is showing her while I announce this weekend to give her some eventing experience!

A lot of people have asked me about her name. Her former owner had her registered with USEA as April's Sweetheart, but I've changed it to Kappa Sweetheart. Kappa is short for Kappa Kappa Gamma. I'm a Kappa so that's the reason I know this stands for, 'know the beautiful and the good' in Greek. She is both beautiful and good...  and a Sweetheart. She was named Sweetheart originally because not only was she born on Valentine's Day, she has a heart shaped star.

Of course, being the proud momma that I am, I took tons of pictures and videos during her training with Carlye and Regis Webb.

If you're looking for a place to take your horse crazy friends this weekend, Holly Hill is the place to be. Here's a link to all of the ride times.
