Caddo Lake Bass Tournament to Benefit Local Boy Battling Leukemia
We tournament bass fisherman are a proud fraternity. We like to brag. We like to rub it in when we manage to beat our friends in tournament competition. But, more than anything, we care for one another.
Recently we came together to benefit the family of Walt Adams, who was taken much too early.
And now, tournament anglers are being called upon to help out when we are needed most.
In this case, all bass anglers are requested to put their deer rifles down for a Saturday and come together for a tournament to benefit Jasper Fud McCormick.
Jasper has been dealt a tough blow but we can be there for him! He's only 5 years old and he's been diagnosed with leukemia. I can't imagine the struggles his parents are now having to battle through, but as a fishing community, we can take some of the financial burdens off of them through this tournament.
It's scheduled for Saturday, November 6 at Earl G. Williamson Park on Caddo Lake. Only a 3-fish limit with an entry fee of $130 per 2-man team.
And even if you won't be available to fish the tournament, you can help out by purchasing a meal or just make a monetary donation.
First place will pay $1,500, 2nd is $1,000, 3rd is $750, 4th $500 and Big Bass will also pay $500. There will also be lots of other prizes including guns, tackle and gift cards.
