Caddo Magnet High Produces Student Written/Directed Play

I recently received an email from a student at Caddo Magnet High School, and I just couldn't help but put the word out.

I am a Caddo Magnet alum (class of 1993). When I was in high school, I was heavily involved in the drama department. One year, we put on a series of one-act plays that were written by the creative writing classes in the English department. My involvement won me "Best Actor" that year, a very proud achievement.

This week, the Caddo Magnet Players will perform the very first student written and produced full play.

Here's a snippet of the email I was sent:

Hello. My name is Shelby Johnson. My friend Avery DeGering wrote this amazing play that is to be the first student written and produced play at Caddo Magnet High. It's this week, Thursday and Friday at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $5 each.

DeGering is also directing the production.

I am very excited for these young artists, and I hope it's a massive hit for them.
