According to the Louisiana Department of Health, Caddo Parish has the 3rd highest rate of COVID-19 in the state. However, our numbers are dramatically lower than Jefferson and Orleans Parish and, according to the stats, we are testing more people than any other place in the state. While that is positive news, that doesn't mean we are out of the woods. Coronavirus is still a serious issue that needs to be dealt with locally.

Today, at noon, Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins, Caddo Parish Sheriff/Director of Homeland Security Steve Prator and other area officials will be giving an update and discussing how the virus is affecting our area and what they are doing to combat the spread of the disease.

You can watch the update below starting at noon.
