Both Calvary Baptist and Many High School have brought their individual LHSAA football championship titles home to northwest Louisiana!

Unfortunately, Byrd’s perfect season ended Sunday night, December 27th in the Division I contest. Catholic of Baton Rouge beat them 35-12. Many beat Kinder to take the Division IIA title 16-13. Calvary played Ouachita Christian today at 1 pm for the Division IV title on a score of 62 - 41. Get latest from LHSAA here.

Eddie Bonine, the Executive Director of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, released the times and dates for the state football championship games today.

Good news for us, as previously announced last week, this year's games will be played at Northwestern State University's Harry Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches, LA, a much closer drive for folks from our part of the state than New Orleans and the Superdome. This is only the second time the state high school football championship games won't be played in NOLA. The first time was in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Best of luck to all of our local teams! Rep NWLA well and know we'll be cheering you on from a safe, social distance! Speaking of which, here are the LHSAA's guidelines with regard to COVID-19.

Championship dates and times released!
