A Cameron Parish cleaning crew made the grisly discovery of a human head while collecting trash in the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge Thursday.

Cameron Parish Sheriff Ron Johnson said one of his trustee cleaning crews discovered the plastic bag containing a  decomposed human head on the side on La. Highway 27.
The Cameron Parish Coroner's Office investigators say the head has been at the site for about three months.
Deputies searched the area and the surrounding marshes for any other body parts, but the search led to no other discoveries.
