Actor Bill Paxton, who died suddenly this past weekend at the age of 61, had completed this season's episodes of his CBS series, "Training Day," with the network planning to air the remaining nine unseen shows.

Paxton, the Fort Worth native who was the Grand Marshal for the 2015 Krewe of Centaur parade, passed away Saturday from what was described as "complications from surgery".

In the series, which takes place fifteen years after the events of the feature film of the same name, Paxton stars in the role of the veteran, morally ambiguous narcotics officer, who takes a young, idealistic detective under his wing.

The next episode of "Training Day" will air Thursday night.
