Charlize Theron ‘Dark Places’ Filming in Shreveport’s Highland Area

Filming of 'Dark Places', the latest A-list production to abandon Hollywood for Shreveport, is currently underway in the city's Highland area.

'Dark Places' stars best actress Oscar winner Charlize Theron ('Monster'), Christina Hendricks from the AMC TV hit series 'Mad Men' and one of the most heralded young actresses of the day, Chloe Grace Moretz.

According to producers (including Theron), 'Dark Places' is about 'a woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes'.

The movie's tentative release date is September of 2014.
