After sheltering in place for so long, I can't wait to get dressed up and enjoy some of the finer things in life in support of Easterseals Louisiana! That's why I was so happy to receive the call asking if I would be willing to host this year's event!
If you're not familiar with Easterseals Louisiana, they fill an important need right here in our community. Their mission statement says it best.
Easterseals Louisiana is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities achieve independence. Easterseals provides exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our communities.
Easterseals Louisiana has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives since 1951. From support coordination to transitional housing and social skills training for people with autism, Easterseals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.
As you can tell Easterseals is integral to our community and like all nonprofit organizations, they rely on the generosity of donors to continue to offer their services. That's where the annual Chocolate and Champagne event comes in. Attendees are able to sample gourmet chocolate confections from numerous area eaties and wash it down with champagne. The event also includes an auction and a short program talking about the Easterseals mission and honoring this year's Lilly Award recipients John and Lynne Manno.
Join us as we partake in a night of decadent indulgence Saturday, July 25, 2020 for the 9th Annual Chocolate and Champagne event at Margaritaville Resort Casino's Paradise Theater at 6:30 pm. The presentation will take place at 8:30 pm. Dress is cocktail for the ladies and coat and tie for the gentlemen. Individual tickets are $125 each. Click here to purchase tickets.
