Thanks to slightly lower temperatures in the forecast, the City will close its 15 ``cooling centers’’ until further notice, Mayor Cedric Glover announced this afternoon.

The City is no longer under a heat advisory and the National Weather Service does not forecast temperatures higher than 95 either Saturday or Sunday.

In the unexpected event that temperatures rose above 100 degrees, local fire stations could potentially serve as cooling centers for residents threatened by the heat.
