When listing areas of the ArkLaTex hardest hit by the 2016 flood, Shreveport's Cross Lake is at the top of the list. The most common refrain from the homeowners along the shore is surprise at how rapidly the water rose, causing extensive to homes, watercraft, boathouses and docks.
