Dak Prescott’s First Football ProCamp a Huge Success [VIDEO]
That headline almost makes it seem like we're surprised... We're not.
Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Dak Prescott knows what is important in life. Although he was the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year last season and a Pro Bowl selection, Dak has become a household name across the country for his off field antics. We know Dak as the guy who stays out of the negative spotlight, goes home regularly to spend time with his grandma, and now he's the guy who goes home to play football with the kids in his hometown.
Dak recently hosted 1,400 kids in the Adidas Dak Prescott Football ProCamp.
The first camp was held in Starkville, Mississippi where he once played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Kids attending the camp were in grades one through eight. Aside from being able to get out on the field with one of the biggest names in the game, the kids also received a team photo, T-shirt and an autographed souvenir according to Sports Day.
In addition to this Mississippi's camp, Dak returned to "where it all began" in Haughton, Louisiana.
Despite the rainy weather, Dak still made the trip to spend time with 700 campers. They spent time indoors hearing from Dak before taking the field. I'm pretty sure toughing it out in the rain with the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys will make for one heck of a story once school starts up again.
Also, thanks to the Shreveport Times, we have some fabulous photos from Dak's football camp.
