Dallas Cowboys Hall Of Fame Legend Coming To Shreveport

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is heading back to Downtown Shreveport for another big year at the Shreveport Convention Center. This year's event will be August 18th through August 20th.

This year, Geek'd Con brings something for the football geeks out there. NFL Hall of Fame member Bob Lilly...

Bob Lilly was the first ever NFL Draft Pick by the Dallas Cowboys. He won Super Bowl VI with Dallas, where he set a record (since broken) during the game with a 29-yard sack of Miami Dolphins QB Bob Griese.

Over his NFL career, Bob Lilly was named First Team All-Pro 7 times, made 11 Pro Bowls, was named to the 1960s All-Decade Team, 1970s All-Decade Team, 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, and is in the Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Not to mention he was a Unanimous All-American while in college with TCU.
He has been inducted into both the Pro Football and College Football Hall of Fames.
Bob Lilly will be appearing on Friday and Saturday only this year at Geek'd Con.

Since its start, Geek'd Con has been one of the premiere comic con style events in the state of Louisiana. The event has generated millions of dollars in economic impact to the Shreveport and Bossier City area. While also bringing in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, Star Wars icons, Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame members, and horror movie legends.

Over the last 7 events, an estimated 106,000 fans have come through the Shreveport Convention Center to enjoy the festivities. Fans have walked away with one-of-a-kind items, autographs, pictures, and unmatched experiences.

The 2023 dates are going to be August 18th through 20th. Geek'd Con 2023 will follow the traditional Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule. Opening with a Vendor Preview Night on Friday, where the public is welcome to shop from over 100 vendor booths with unique collectibles, hand crafted items, artwork, and more. Vendors from all across the United States come to Geek'd Con every year, and offer a wide selection of items. That doesn't include the tremendous volume of local artists who attend the event every year as well.

Geek'd Con is Shreveport's biggest comic and pop culture event. Launching in 2015, the event quickly became one of the premiere comic con style events in the entire state of Louisiana.

A big part of that growth has been the celebrity guest lineups. Since the first show in 2015, the quality of guests attending Geek'd Con rivals any pop culture event of this size.
