Bossier Deputies are on the scene in north Bossier Parish where storms hit overnight. Deputies have been going door to door off of Butler Hill Road which was hard hit.

This is an area north Benton on the east side of Cypress Black Bayou.

Deputies set up an Incident Command on Highway 162 near Butler Hill Road. Benton Fire Department and SWEPCO are also on scene.

Several trees and power lines are down in the roadways that deputies are having to park their units and walk long distances to get to resident's homes to check on their safety and evacuate them as needed.

Much of northern Bossier Parish has been impacted by the storm, in particular in the area from Old Plain Dealing Road east to Highway 157 and from Highway 162 north up to Highway 160. Other nearby areas have also been impacted, and deputies and crews out assessing and helping where they can.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this point. Butler Hill Road is now back open to traffic.
