Demario Davis Wins Appeal, Won’t Have to Pay $7K Fine for Wearing ‘Man of God’ Headband
It has been an interesting yet inspiring last few days for New Orleans Saints star linebacker Demario Davis.
First, he was fined a little over $7,000 by the NFL for wearing a headband that reads "Man of God."
He then turned that situation into a positive by selling headbands with that quote along with "Woman of God" and "Child of God" headbands. All monies raised will be donated to St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi to help in the expansion of their emergency room. (Davis is from Mississippi and his mom worked at that hospital.)
Now, Davis has announced that he's won his appeal to the NFL and won't have to pay the original $7,017 fine.
He will instead take that fine money and apply it to the over $30,000 raised so far from the sale of the headbands. So, all total, almost $40,000 is heading to a good cause, with more on the way.

The headbands cost $25 and will ship out on October 18. Hurry though, the pink "Woman of God" headbands are already sold out.
