Pittsburgh-based sporting goods chain Dick's Sporting Goods has announced that they will be eliminating hunting departments in 440 more of their stores nationwide. This falls on the heels of the 125 stores that shuttered the gun and hunting sections last year.

The announcement came on Tuesday during the company's quarterly earnings report. The company had previously eliminated assault style rifles from their stores after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, which left 17 dead in 2018. They also raised the minimum age to purchase a gun to 21 at that time.

After the removal of the hunting and gun departments in the 440 stores,160 stores will still sell the outdoor gear. The company has not released the locations of the stores who will be affected yet. The Lafayette location of Dick's Sporting Goods is at 110 Old Camp Road, next to Costco.
