Vanilli is on the comeback trail.  And he is using his real voice.

The Alchemist, a DJ and producer who has worked with Emenim and Cyprus Hill, has told TMZ.com that he is laying down tracks with Fab Morvan — or Vanilli to music fans.

Milli Vanilli burst onto the scene in the late ’80s with a string of number one hits.  However, by the time the duo won Best New Artist at the 1990 Grammy Award they were hounded by allegations of lip syncing.

It was soon discovered that neither Morvan or “Milli” Rob Pilatus did any of the actual singing on Milli Vanilli’s hit debut album.  Instead, all the vocals were from un-credited musicians whose looks had been deemed unmarketable.

Pilatus died of an accidental drug overdose in 1998.
