The 17th Annual Highland Jazz & Blues Festival is easily one of Shreveport's more eclectic events and will be held Saturday, September 18th, 2021. The location, as always, will be in Shreveport’s historic Highland neighborhood at Columbia Park.

Like any true Louisiana festival, it'll be chock full of music and food with eight bands playing from 11 am to 6 pm on two stages. This free music festival is a gift to the community from the Highland Area Partnership. Performers for 2021 include Buddy Flett, Betty Lewis, the New Orleans Nightcrawlers, the Shreveport Second Line Brass Band, Ohm Haus, the Rougarou Trio, Junior the Third, and the Tree Fiddy Trio.

With the date of the event fast approaching, The Highland Jazz and Blues Festival is looking for a few good volunteers! Okay, fine! They're looking for a small army of volunteers, but you'll get a free shirt and have a ton of fun for your time!

The Festival is a non-profit 501(c)3 and is happy to take any help you can get, from setting up at Columbia Park and clean up following the event, to checking in other volunteers, manning the beer booth, working the ticket booth, selling merchandise, and even helping guests in the VIP tent. If this sounds good to you, check out the volunteer sign-up form here.
