Elderly Woman Dies in House Fire in Shreveport

A deadly overnight fire in Queensborough. The Shreveport Fire Department was called to a home in the 2100 block of Darien Street at around 1:30 Wednesday morning. The home was on fire and neighbors told firefighters there was a woman inside the home.  She was found a short time later and taken to University Health where she later died. Investigators say the fire was accidental and the home did not have a working smoke alarm.
