Each week, Bristol's Babies shines the spotlight on adoptable pets right here in northwest Louisiana and with your help, we hope to eventually find them all homes!

Want to know why you hardly ever see doxies up for adoption? It's because they're such great dogs! Trust me, I wouldn't trade my little Mikey for anything! Make an appointment to meet Kokoa at Pet Savers of Shreveport and fill out an adoption application today!  Kokoa is up to date on her shots and her adoption fee is $125, but she already has some folks interested in adopting her so if you want her, move fast!

Here's what the Pet Savers website has to say about Kokoa:

As you can see I am a beautiful long-haired Dachshund. I came from a breeder to Pet Savers a while back and was adopted. I had to be returned due to my owner's health. I am currently a "plus-sized" girl and need to lose weight to live a long happy life. Maybe you can help me with that! I am house-trained, up-to-date, and get along with kids, dogs, and cats alike. I currently have several good applicants!

Pet Savers is located at 4380 Noyes Drive, Shreveport, LA 71119 and they are open daily from 12 pm - 4 pm. However, due to the current coronavirus concerns, you'll want to reach out ahead of your visit. You can call them at (318) 636-0400 or reach them on Facebook with any questions! Even if you aren't able to adopt an animal at this time, Pet Savers Shreveport is always in need of donations and volunteers so please consider supporting their efforts!
