I just saw this video on Youtube and I had to share it with you. Apparently, a gentleman wrote Ellen DeGeneres a letter all about his girlfriend and how he wanted to surprise her with a proposal. The camera turns to the potential fiance and then the proposer comes out to "pop" the question on LIVE TV. And what do YOU think her response was?

"I'm sorry. I can't." Ouch! On national TV no less. But should she have just said yes, and back out of it later if she didn't want to marry him JUST because she was on TV? NO!

The saddest part of the whole thing was when the music for the 12 Days of Giveaways starts and the crowd just stands up applauding and yelling! I guess that is a professional audience.

I normally don't watch Ellen, since I'm at work when it runs, but from what I saw in the comments on the video, Ellen usually "creates" awkward moments during her 12 Days of Giveaways. I would HOPE something like this wasn't staged. I've yet to see any comment from the Ellen show, but I'll let you watch the video and judge for yourself.
