Star Wars & Stranger Things Stars Coming To Louisiana In January

One of the biggest brands in the comic con world will return to Louisiana in 2023 with Fan Expo New Orleans.

The three-day event starts on Friday January 6th, and will go through Sunday January 8th. It takes place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. This start on Friday at 3pm.

One of the biggest aspects of the Fan Expo brands is their long list of quality celebrity guests. This type of pop culture expo, or comic con style event, is a huge opportunity for fans to meet their favorite stars from all walks of geeky pop culture. This usually includes the opportunity for pictures and autographs. This is something that Fan Expo has been very good at across the United States.

Fan Expo New Orleans is bringing some very in-demand names for the geek community. Starting with some guests from the Stranger Things franchise...including Joseph Quinn, who is known for playing Eddie Munson in the show.

Grace Van Dien, who played opposite Quinn as Chrissy, will also appear at Fan Expo New Orleans. Raphael Luce has also been added to the lineup, he played young Henry Creel in Stranger Things. Not to mention Sean Astin, who is best known from the Lord of the Rings franchise, Goonies, and Rudy. But Astin also played Bob Newby in Stranger Things.

While Stranger Things is super hot with the geeky community, the new show Wednesday might even be hotter. Fan Expo New Orleans will also feature the biggest A-list name from that cast...Christina Ricci.

Ricci has been nominated multiple times for Golden Globes and Emmy Awards, but she's probably best known for constantly stealing the hearts of geeky fans. From her early role as Wednesday Addams in the Addams Family film franchise from the 90s, and her roles in Casper, Sleepy Hollow, Lizzie Borden, and Cursed.

There's also a large group of Star Wars guests coming to Fan Expo New Orleans. 

That includes Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka, The Clone Wars), Emily Swallow (The Armorer), Matt Lanter (Anakin, The Clone Wars), and James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan, The Clone Wars).

You'll also be able to meet the legendary director Sam Raimi...the man behind the Evil Dead franchise and the original Spider-Man movies.
