Fun On Vacation

We had such a great time on vacation.  My Mom, two of my brothers and my two sons had a fabulous trip to Orange Beach Alabama.  Here are some of the highlights of our trip.

Took Mom out on the beach.  She insisted on walking all the way down the pier and out on the sand to our chair and umbrella which was about halfway out on the beach.  I then moved the chair to the water and she sat down and put her toes in the water.  I could see in her eyes how happy she was to be on the beach. Mom, who is 83, grew up in Biloxi and spent many years out on the beach.  The only bittersweet thing about this was that I could see in her eyes that she thinks this might have been the last time she puts her toes in the Gulf.  I'm going to make sure that is not the case!!

I took the boys deep sea fishing out in the Gulf of Mexico and it was a blast.  It did take about an hour to get out to our first fishing spot and the boys used that hour to catch up on some sleep (we had to be at the boat at 7am).
