As far as late Friday reveals go, Sony’s first look at the cast of The Girl in the Spider’s Web is…interesting. The cast, along with director Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe), recently got together for a photo shoot; and though these aren’t actual stills from the film, they do give us an idea of what Claire Foy’s version of Lisbeth Salander will look like in the upcoming reboot / sequel to David Fincher’s remake of the Swedish hit.

And, I gotta say, she looks like a second grade elementary school teacher from 1992. Ms. Herbert, is that you?

It’s probably not quite what many fans were expecting: The oatmeal-colored turtleneck, the too-comfy onesie, and the Mackenzie Davis hair cut from the first season of Halt and Catch Fire — combined, these don’t really scream “vengeful introverted punk hacker.” It’s more like that one friend of yours who went to art school and keeps bugging you to buy collages from her Etsy store.

Listen, I’m not saying any of this is bad; these aren’t official stills, so it’s hard to judge what Foy’s Lisbeth looks like in the real deal. Maybe this Lisbeth has matured a bit. Maybe she opened a pre-school for Upper East Side toddlers. And unlike a certain actress (ahem, Rooney Mara), she didn’t actually go out and get multiple body piercings, but you can’t expect everyone to be that zealous.

Okay, so Claire Foy’s hair cut and jumper situation aside, the pics also show off a few other cast members: Lakeith Stanfield, Stephen Merchant and Sverrir Gudnason — the latter of whom takes on the role of journalist Mikael Blomkvist. And here’s the official logo, featuring a font that’s very V.C. Andrews circa the late ’80s (again, not a complaint!):
