Is this policy too strict? Watch here as 'The Doctors' debate a controversial school policy after a young girl from Haughton Middle School was denied access the restroom after starting her period.

A twelve-year-old seventh grader recently came home to tell her mother that she had started her period at school, but didn't tell the teacher why she needed to use the restroom. She had used all of her allotted bathroom passes and was also embarrassed to explain her feminine issue in front of the entire class.

Apparently the Haughton school has a strict bathroom policy where students are only allowed five trips per nine weeks to the restroom. After that, they are punished. She was afraid that the punishment could possibly get her thrown off of the softball team.

Is this policy going to far??
