If you went to Haughton High School and graduated in the 1990s, get ready to meet up with all of your old classmates for a multi-class reunion!

Yes, that picture above features me and the Haughton High School Marching Band Flag Line. What were we thinking with those outfits?!?!? I'm sure that'll be a topic of discussion on Saturday, June 5th, 2021, when HHS grads gather for a fun night of nostalgia and fellowship with childhood friends at Red River Brewpub.

I know I've personally been to two reunion events and have had a blast at both. Thank goodness for Eric Hamilton and John Carrier who took the planning of this event on. I know it's not easy to corral an entire decade of Buccaneers! Here's the link to the Facebook event page for any questions you might have. Or heck, maybe you just want to talk about Coach Guin's short shorts or how bad our auditorium was until they finally demolished it. Of course, trash-talking Minden is always encouraged;) Does anyone else remember the parties at Bodcau or the Country Place clubhouse?

So, if you've got your 'Post it' note success story ready to go ala Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, you need to block off 5 pm - 10 pm on June 5th! The event is free to attend and I'm looking forward to checking out Red River Brewpub at 1200 Marshall Street in downtown Shreveport. They opened their doors in 2012 and according to their website, they're the first local brewery since prohibition. I sure hope they're ready for us because I have my eye on their 'Hay Ryed' beer. Plus, any place that has deviled eggs on the menu has my vote!

Connect with other Haughton High School grads from the 1990s by joining the Facebook group. I'll see you there!
