There's a handful of things we do better than anyone else in Louisiana. Of course, sports is one of those things.

The list of historic names enshrined in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame reads like a who's who of the national sports world. Today, we learned who has been added to our prestigious Hall for 2021. Highlighting this year's class is one of the greatest New Orleans Saints players of all time and LSU football's most decorated defender.

Headlining the 2021 class will be Saints icon, Marques Colston. Colston played for ten seasons in New Orleans at the wide receiver position. Saints fans young and old will forever remember Colston and he will no doubt hold a special place in our hearts. Naturally, his career in New Orleans was highlighted by the historic Super Bowl win in 2010.

Joining Colston in the 2021 class will be the most decorated defensive player in LSU football history. That would be none other than Glenn Dorsey. Dorsey, of course, helped the Tigers secure the National Championship in 2007. He was also an All-American twice and once the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. Hall of Fame Chairman Doug Ireland says, "No LSU defender has ever swept so many national awards headlined by the Outland Trophy as Glenn Dorsey did in his senior year.”

LSU basketball star Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, LSU track and field coach Pat Henry, Southern star and MLB infielder Rickie Weeks, Nicholls softball pitcher Courtney Blades-Rogers, Richwood football coach Mackie Freeze, and 1980 Bassmaster Classic Champion Bo Dowden are the other 2021 inductees.
