Louisiana State Police say it all started just after 2AM on I-49 when a trooper running radar tried to pull the man over for speeding. He exited onto 3132 headed toward Dallas, but stayed on the loop heading toward Bossier City on I-220. He got onto I-20 out near the racetrack and headed west back into Bossier. He was finally stopped near Old Minden Road when troopers put out spike strips. The suspect tried to get away after his car finally stopped, but several troopers were able to take him into custody.

The suspect is identified as 27-year- old Michael Russel of Shreveport. He faces charges on both sides of the Red River. He was booked in Bossier on aggravated flight, resisting with force, littering, no drivers license and failure to yield.

In Caddo Parish, he was issued a ticket for speeding, no driver's license, improper lane use and following to close.
