Hometown Hopefuls Make it to Hollywood on ‘American Idol’
Both of the two hometown hopefuls we knew about from the Shreveport/Bossier City area were showcased during last night's auditions on American Idol and BOTH punched their golden tickets to Hollywood!
Our first hopeful heading to Hollywood for the next round of competition on American Idol is Benton High School senior Garrett Jacobs. Clearly Garrett is not only an accomplished athlete, but a solid performer as well! We couldn't help but fall in love with his grandmother Honey and I don't know about you, I sure that it was cute that Katy thought Garrett was so good looking!
Cameron Theodos is another native of the area. Cameron is an Evangel grad and went to school with our very own Jay Whatley. In addition to being a high school basketball coach, Jay says Cameron is an amazing praise and worship leader!
While Laine Hardy isn't from the Ark-La-Tex, this Livingston, LA teen made quite an impression on the Idol judges, even if they did make fun of him for his accent. I'm glad Luke was able to help establish Laine's 'country cred' before he sang!
