An unusual race, to say the least, earlier today at Belmont Park in New York City. A horse named Downtown Hottie stumbled out of the gate, nearly falling and throwing the jockey to the ground. Then instinct took over and Hottie did what he was trained to do...ran like the wind.

Downtown Hottie, sans rider, didn't give up, running by the other horses and going from last to first to cross the wire victoriously. Well, sort of. The rules state that for a horse to be officially declared the winner he must have the jockey aboard the entire race. So, sadly, Hottie was disqualified. But for the horse's owner, it was certainly a moral victory and for race fans, certainly a horse to watch out for in the future!
