Woman Killed Outside West Shreveport Skating Rink
Tragedy in west Shreveport where a fight turned deadly. This latest shooting happened in the parking lot of the Hot Wheels skating rink on West Bert Koons Sunday night. Police don't have much information about the incident yet. The skating rink closed at 5pm. The shooting happened at about 8:30pm.
But initial reports indicate a group of women got into some sort of altercation when a man pulled out a gun and shot a 19-year-old woman in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reporter News says there was some sort of dispute and this fight ended up in the parking lot of the skating rink.

What the Owner of the Skating Rink Says About the Tragedy:
"Tonight a terrible act of violence occurred in our back parking lot after we closed today. Over 3 hours after we closed. We are not sure what happened prior to them showing up in our parking lot, but are saddened by this tragic loss of life. As a community we need to unite and stop these violent acts from occurring. We need to come together and stop this senseless violence NOW. We need to value life and support Shreveport. Prayers for the victims family."
The victim's name has not yet been released. Detectives will be reviewing surveillance video from outside the business to find out more about what sparked this tragic shooting.
