In my "new chapter in life", if that is what you want to call it, I am pushing myself to be healthier. I just started up on Crossfit and I love it. However, I know that being healthy isn't just going to the gym and working up a sweat. Being healthy includes managing what you eat.

Unfortunately I have a sweet tooth. I love candy and sweet treats. This definitely does not help my health kick, so I am trying to cut back on my sugars. The FDA says that only 10% of the daily calorie amount should be for sugar which equals out to 52 grams of sugar if you're on a 2,000 calorie diet.

But then you have the whole "good sugars" and the " bad sugars". You know, fruit versus candy bars. According to CNN, says that you should choose whole fruit over candy or other delicious temptations. So candy apples are out of the question?

According to Women's Health Magazine, "All sugars, whether they're natural or processed, affect your body in a similar way. But sugars from whole foods tend to come with other good-for-you nutrients that make them worthwhile." So sugars all together should be limited. Yeah I can talk all day about cutting out sugars, but the hard part is actually doing it.
