Is the rising cost of, well, everything, preventing couples from separating in Louisiana? A recent study shows that flying solo in Louisiana is so expensive, that folks are staying together even when they don't want to.

DivorceAnswers.com revealed a shocking new study that found that one in three Louisiana couples who want to separate say that soaring inflation is keeping them together for the time being.

In my humble opinion, I don't think anyone walks down the aisle with the end in mind. As someone who has been through a divorce, I can attest to it being really tough, even when the economy isn't tanking. Even so, you'd hope that couples would want to stay together to give their marriage another chance, to provide a stable environment for their kids, etc... not just because they can't afford to pay a mortgage and rent at the same time. But that wasn't the only thing that DivorceAnswers.com's survey revealed. It turns out that most singles won't date someone with bad credit or a lot of debt. In fact, 55% of their respondents overall said they'd steer clear of a relationship for those very reasons. If you're wondering how much debt is too much, they found that the magic number was $33,000 or more. I don't know about you, but I owe more than that on my vehicle alone!

Sadly, one-third of DivorceAnswers.com's participants in the survey said they couldn't afford to live on their own. I don't know about you, but this is something you might want to consider before tying the knot.
