Don't let the changing color of the leaves pass you by this fall.

Oh fall. One of my greatest loves. Aside from the food, the boots, the scarves and the "pumpkin spice everything", I can't wait to watch those leaves change their colors. However, in this fast-paced world that we live in, it can sometimes be difficult to simply lift our head and take in our surroundings. We could miss this crucial part of the season.

Trust me, fall leaves aren't as beautiful on the screen of your phone.

As silly as it sounds, we may need to work this viewing into our schedules. That's where comes into play. The sight has created an interactive map to help us determine when the best viewing times are for the changing of the leaves in each state. It's broken down week by week with peak times and even past peak times.

In the south, we still haven't seen this change. It looks like we will start to see the leaves start changing color in the Ark-La-Tex in the week of September 24. This is right on schedule with the Autumn Equinox, which is set for September 22 this year. From there, we will see gorgeous colors well through October, before we pass that peak season., also breaks down the science behind the changing of the leaves. It's quite fascinating!
