State Representative Alan Seabaugh talked to us about House Bill 667. The bill, introduced by Shreveport Rep. Cedric Glover, would create a five person "Redevelopment Authority", three of whom would be appointed by Shreveport's mayor. Critics of the bill say the board, whose powers would be to "...incur debt (and) levy taxes", would by pass the City Council and fly in the face of representative government.

Seabaugh also explains to our listeners how the bill made it through Louisiana's House with only three dissenting votes and what its chances are as it now moves to a Senate committee.
